With openmedic, you can send confidential messages to one or more people on your intranet. Just start a new conversation by adding any number of people to the mailing list. Only the participants of the conversation can read the encrypted messages. You can also add more participants later in the conversation, for example, if you need further expert opinions for your medical case review.
Sending attachments is as easy as it is straightforward. Drag and drop any file, such as an X-ray image, onto an area of the message to be sent. Private conversations including all attachments are stored encrypted on the servers of your hospital.
New messages are sent in real time to all participants in a conversation. For example, send time-critical text or voice messages to one or several physicians. The messages are immediately pushed to the employees' devices.
Employees are informed immediately as soon as new messages are available. For this purpose, so-called push notifications are sent in real time to the smartphone (Android & iOS) and to an employee's workstation.

Start a new group discussion by specifying the topic and the first message. The extensive rights system of a group ensures that only authorized users may create a new topic. If you wish to be informed about updates on a topic, you can simply subscribe to the topic. In this case you will be informed as soon as new contributions to the subscribed topic are available.
As a group member, you can easily discuss topics by adding a new post to an existing discussion. The privacy settings of the group determine which employees of your hospital can see the contributions within the group.
As with sending a private message, you can also add any attachments to a discussion post. In this way it is possible to communicate and discuss topic-specific contents in the form of documents, images or links to a wider readership.
